The Role of CARI Guideline Writers
The role of the individual guideline writers is:
- To liaise with other Working Group members and agree on assigned topics
- To review the search results found by the Cochrane Renal Group and identify relevant and good quality trials on their topic
- To assemble and analyse randomised controlled trial data
- To assemble and analyse any other relevant non-RCT data
- To respond adequately to peer and consumer review comments on their guidelines
- To liaise with other Working Group members (via teleconference/face-to-face meeting) and agree on final guideline content
- To prepare finalised guidelines and forward to the CARI Office for their publication as a Supplement to Nephrology
- To adhere to the timelines provided by the CARI Office to enable publication of new and revised guidelines in a timely fashion
- To commit to update their guideline/s every three years
